Interesting Stats of the Week

The Ohio State Buckeyes are 4-0 to start the 2016 season. They are averaging 57 points per game and their QB, JT Barrett is breaking records right and left. The Buckeyes are outscoring their opponents by and average of 47 points and look completely dominant. We have all heard about how unbelievable the offense has been, but the interesting thing is: they really don't even need one.

Ohio States defense is currently outscoring their opponents offense 28-25. They have four defensive touchdowns, compared to their opposing offense's 2. Obviously BGSU, Tulsa, and Rutgers don't have outstanding offenses, but Oklahoma should have scored enough to break the stat. This is the biggest indicator of the absolute dominance on display in Columbus, and it is impossible not to be impressed.

Obviously, this stat will be put to the test when the Buckeyes face the meat of the Big 10, but lets marvel at this for now. Who knows, maybe they can keep it up against Indiana this week.
