In the final game of the regular season, the Mean Machine battled back to win 29-28 in a nail bitter vs. Spider 2 Y Banana.

The team fell behind early 16-0, after QB2 Ben Delay threw two INT's. QB1 David Heisel had something for his business fraternity. The Mean Machine was down at half 16-6, but that didn't stop the team from going on a run. Halftime adjustments led to the Mean Machine's new life on both sides of the ball.

Leading the way offensively was Delay who ran for 2 TD's and threw for 2 more. You can't keep this kid out of the headlines but Thomas Laffey IV had another big game with a receiving TD. Kyle Singer had the go ahead TD to put the team ahead.

Kyle Singer, had a big game defensively. He was all over the field making those hustle plays coaches rave about. You could say he showed a lot of "grit". When I asked him about the game all he had to say was, "WE DA BOYS, WHO MAKE PLAYS, WOO WOO WOO." He soon got yelled at by our RA for being too loud during quiet hours.

Sitting at 2-1 on the season, the Mean Machine have a very good chance of making a run in the playoffs. Everyone makes it, but your record determines your seeding. So, a 2-1 record should be a big help for the Mean Machine.

It has been a good regular season, short, but good. Aside from going into Game 1 as the cockiest bunch of college kids you may ever meet, the team has been solid all-around. Nothing like a little playoff flag football.
