NBA Sneaker Preview: Delly 1s

The news has been out for a while now that the Bucks' Matthew Dellavedova is releasing a line of signature shoes. Coming off of the high of a World Championship, Delly knew he had to capitalize and released a preview of the shoe in September of 2016.

Delly 1 Promo Video

The shoe contract came from an Australian company named Peak Sports, who released this incredibly awkward/inspiring promo video. I'm a big Delly guy don't get me wrong, but his voice just isn't fit for this commercial. I think Peak will be better off going with a narrator who can truly capture Delly's chip on his shoulder mentality for the next video.

Delly is yet to set a release date for the shoes, but they will be highly sought after when they hit the market. I mean just look at these puppies; you got the signature green and white and the low top. They really capture the scrappy style Delly plays with.

Also, props to this company for signing this deal because they could release a gray pair of Tom's and say they are Delly's signature basketball shoes and every young basketball player in Australia would still buy them. Until Ben Simmons becomes a star and gains some major name recognition, they have a monopoly on the Australian basketball stars.

I also think another solid demographic for this shoe is going to be 30-50 year old rec league players. They can fit the classic dad look, and, bonus, you can buy two pairs and mow the lawn in two green ones and then you won't have to ruin a pair of shoes from all the grass clippings. Jack of all trades, just like Delly.
